Looking through my iPhone, I knew the last few days of scrabbling to get things done is not going to help. Just like PAP, I set 5 years, 10 years and long term goals for myself. Since the introduction of this planning system, it has been 5 years and it coincides with my 30th Birthday. It is really scary to know that 5 years has passed and you have only got half your ticklist checked.
I understand that some of my goals are not achievable not because I haven’t been actively been working towards it but circumstances that is beyond my control.
Its been a great 30 years living on this planet. I’ve been through numerous ups and downs, ploughing the sea bed when a member of the family left us and hitting highs when Kelly said yes to me during our first successful big wall climb. I wish to look back and see only the good things but I guess its the bad things that shaped us like this today and keep us motivated and on track not giving up in things we do.

Climbing the rock with a rock in my pocket. She said yes even though the ring didn’t fitGetting to the top of El Cap was something i wanted to do. Climbing it with the person I love is a mega bonus5m short of my target, but it was a short term goal to reach the 100m mark by the end of the year. Elephant Slacklines Singapore was something i did not set out to do.. but chance uponClimbing on Marina Bay Sands was a special moment for me, it wasn’t about the live segment on ESPN nor is it about the competition. It was actually the first time my family gathered and watch me climb. Although it wasn’t the typical rock that we usually climb, but still great to hang around at the starting belay point and see your family there. Our new place in Jalan Batu is something i set out to have too. I have been moving in and out of 4 places since i was 22. Now Kelly and I finally bought our little pad. =) Can’t wait for it to be ready this Sunday.My first car camping trip in US. I have met amazing people during the solo trip and also learn a great deal of stuff like stealing showers, hooking up with random climbers and waking up at 4am in the morning to beat the toll booth. Basically learning how to be a dirt bag..=)Our 1 year anniversary cooking and eating maggi at the back alley of this street. Not exactly broke, but just wanted to stick to the budget for the trip. It was a great experience though.My last big bike.. before i sold it for my trusty proton. I love my bikes and I miss the days when we did road trips like there is no tomorrow. I call him Dumbo Jumbo.What can i say? My first highline send was a mind blowing experience..Although i look like a inverted carrot.After i jumped out of the plane for the first time, I told my friend it felt better than sex!Super Crack 5.12 My boldest send on trad with Yourui (DF guru) It wasn’t the hardest shit I climbed but it help me realize that a lot more can be done if we are not afraid.
5 hours after my first rock trip to Tonsai with Derick and Rachel, I decided to get on my bike and ride back there to do a few more climbs. I knew my life will be revolving around climbing after that ass busting ride just to squeeze 2 more top ropes on Missing Snow. =D
So many great moments of my life that wasn’t captured on photos but its all good as I believe photos only do injustice to the beauty of the things around it. I hope my next blog entry at 40 years old is much crazier and more fun than this. I woke up this morning and can’t wait to start my first few days of being 30. What about you?
